If you get the activation error “0x8007007b” or “0x8007232b” when you try to activate your Windows 8, then probably you use a generic Windows 8 product key during installation and the activation wizard cannot find a valid  KMS (Key Management Server) to activate your copy.

This tutorial is written to help users to bypass the “Windows Activation Error Code: 0x8007232b or 0x8007007B” and activate their Windows 8 without errors. The only requirement to bypass this error is to own a valid Windows 8 product key at your disposal and change (or Re-Enter it) at your current Windows 8 installation.

Method 1: Change the Windows 8 Product key using GUI & Activate Windows 8.

How to change (re-Enter) the Windows 8 Product key using GUI.

1. Close all open programs.

2. Right-click at the screen’s bottom-left corner and from the pop-up menu, choose “Run”.

3. Inside the “Run” command box type: slui 3 & press “OK”


5. Wait until your Windows 8 copy is successfully activated.
 

Method 2: Change the Windows 8 Product key using Command Prompt & Activate Windows 8.

How to change (re-Enter) the Windows 8 Product key using Command Prompt.
 
1. Close all open programs.
 
2. Right-click at the screen’s bottom-left corner and from the pop-up menu, choose “Command Prompt (Admin).”

3. Press “Yes” to UAC warning if asked.

4a. Inside command prompt window type the following command and press “Enter”

• slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx               

(Where “xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx” is your own valid product key)


4b.  Now it’s time to activate Windows 8. Type the following command and press “Enter”

• slmgr.vbs /ato

5. Wait until your Windows 8 copy is successfully activated.
